XXI.
Ainda a propósito de amor, a aluna do ED da nossa escola, Rebeca Domingues, 7ºA3, escreveu o texto "Romeo and Juliet and love at first sight", revisto pela profª de inglês, Carla Martinez.
Romeo and Juliet and love at first sight
Two teenagers
from rival families fell in love in a party (you know the love at first sight
cliche). They ended up kissing in the elevator proving that they
were madly in love (although they just were like 14 or 15 years old).
A guy (who was anyone else but Juliet's cousin) tried to kill Romeo for being with Juliet and Romeo kills him (back,
I suppose).
They had to
stay away from each other and Romeo couldn't stand it so he said he would rather die than live without her. But they ended up getting
married (while I can't even cross the road by myself).
They wanted
to flee so the goddamn father Lawrence proposed Juliet to fake her death
(what kind of father is he??!!) (Ah! Ok! He is a Priest. That kind of father) Romeo got to know about her death but didn't know that it was fake. He couldn't live
without her so he killed himself. She woke up, saw him dead and killed
herself.
The end
Personal commentary here;
How the hell girls can say they want a love story like that? I mean, do they
want to end up dead? (insert sarcasm here) Anyways, they kissed and locked eyes,
right? So yeah it's romantic enough to be a love story that everyone wants.
Okay, I'm aware
that Shakespeare wanted to show that true love was about sacrifice for each other,
but not literally right? And c'mon, don't use the "love at first
sight" thing, please and thank you.

Love Song
To me Give me Love by Ed Sheeran is one
of the best songs of love. This
song was wrritten by the 23 years old British singer and song-writer, Ed
Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran began early his
music career, on 2005 at his 14 years old he released his first Ep, "The
orange room" and kept producing Ep's as the years went by.
In 2011 was when success finally started to
knock at his door. He released one of his biggest hits "The A team".
The music reports the story of a prostitute who's addicted to Crack, a class A
drug.
In the same year he also released his first album
named by a simple +.
In 2012, our Teddy(that's how some friends call him)
sang and co-wrote the song "Everything has changed" with one of his
best-friends, Taylor Swift (you go girl!) and helped in the writing of songs
for the album of the band (that he's also friends with) One Direction.
Recently Ed released his second album, X, that got
first in UK and USA. He wrote songs to the films "Lord of the rings"
and to the film "The fault in our stars."
Ed Sheeran is an example that hard work and faith can
and will lead you to big great things. you just have to run after it.
Give me love is an especial music to me because, at least in my point of
view, he doesn't just puts some meaningless words together, he writes what he
feels. And the lyrics somehow fit in parts of my life.
This song has a lovely melody and Ed's guitar skills are amazing.
Now here goes a curious fact: This song in the album has 8:46 minutes
because there's a hidden track on it! When the song is finished, Ed starts to
sing a famous song in Ireland called "Parting Glass". In Ireland
people had the habit of singing it at the end of parties or gatherings.
